A downloadable game

Become the mysterious stranger in town, and witness the spooky going-ons in the haunted ghost town of Shadowridge. But be warned, not all may be as it seems...

Note: I've included an alternate version that adds an expanded ending. I'm still learning how this website works, so hopefully I did this properly!

A nice slice of wild west mystery. Had me guessing pretty much till the end. :)

Hello,

Thank you for the video, it was very entertaining. I'm new to making visual novels, so that's why it's so short. Thank you, though, for checking it out! :)

Short but sweet, in a disturbing way. Keep up the good dev work! :)

Hi, we just tried your visual novel. We love the art style so much, especially the moon! The lighting was great as well. For the story, for such a small project, we can see the depth in it. Love how you structured the story. Having different perspective of the story-line is almost like watching a movie! Although, we are quite unsatisfied how the story ends. We would love to see how is it going between Helen and Victor and what actually is going on. The story kind of lack self-explanatory point. We had to create our own understanding. There's some improvements suggestion we would like to share:

- Fixing some typos.
- An indicator to progress, often we were left unknowingly that we need to click to progress.

- Optimization by converting the images from PNG to Webp format.

- Archiving your project during 'building distribution' in Ren'py to avoid someone from stealing your artwork.

- Implement a game icon instead of using the default Ren'py icon.

One other thing, can you share with us how you made the dialog pauses before it proceeds?

Last, good job, keep it up!

Thanks for the help! I'm new to visual novels, so I greatly appreciate the feedback. I plan on trying to make more in the future and I will keep this advice in mind.

The dialogue pauses were done by putting {w} in the code where I wanted the player to have to click before advancing.

Again, thanks for checking out my project!

You're welcome and thanks for sharing the 'trick'! It is very useful.

Keep up the good work! ^^

Great game! I personally love this style of art that look like a sketch, keep it up with the good work!
